The sculpting workshop Traces, took place at the 2nd General High School of Athens “Theo Angelopoulos” and under the guidance of the visual artist Kostas Sachpazis, brought the students in contact with the concept of the ephemeral in the art, the spontaneity and inspiration.

 

The students walked in the park of “Pedio tou Areos”, observed the surrounding space and selected one element that further intrigued their imagination. Inspired by these spots, the students created ephemeral and non-ephemeral works, stating their own personal viewing of the public space. Part of the works remained in the park, unprotected to the passing of time and the weather conditions, while an installation inside the school, will remain their as a reminiscence of the traces we left behind.

 

The workshop Traces is part of the educational program of Victoria Square Project «βικΤΩΡιΑ ΤΩΡΑ» (Victoria Now) and was realized with the funding and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
